Gryphons

The Gryphons is the name of a band of Gallóglaigh which is now disbanded. They were led by a Gallóglaigh by the name of MacArthur and used yellow and black as their uniform colours, together with the symbol of a Gryphon.

The Gryphons are responsible for the disbanding of the Oakhearts following the battle known as Macha's Folly.

Following the dissolution of the Gryphons, a number of its members have joined Cumhacht na Réig and retain their distinctive tabards in memory of the band.
