Overview

Fiven is a Leasiar combat support mage, originally from Siabhal but most recently from Draíod. Typical of a Leasiar, Fiven may look youthful but is truthfully 252 years old. But in spite of all those years of life, Fiven remembers nothing beyond a year ago. Still, there can be good things about a completely refreshed life!

Backstory

Early Life

Fiven was born as Feibhernágh O'Broin, the youngest daughter of her family, which itself was a lower branch of noble family tree in Siabhal. She had an older brother, her mother and father, and her grandfather with her almost all the time. Feibhernágh's family were merchants, where for most of her life their trade occurred in their homeland until her father had the idea to move to Bruid and continue their business endeavors there. That phase of their lives didn't last too long, as the woods were treacherous, and it led to the O'Broin stumbling into a small debt due to a lost shipment that was major to the business. Refusing to give up completely, the family tried Draíod, where they managed to not only break even and recover from the debt, but gain impressive profit from the realm's dependency on trade. Since then, the family has been based in Crag Oscionn.

A Talent for Magic

Over the last 50 or so years the O'Broins, or rather, Feibhernágh's part of the family, brought good wealth to the rest of the clan, and enough spared over for Feibhernágh and her older brother to be allowed to pursue their own futures, instead of carrying on in the family merchant business. And in spite of learning lots of things in her long life, Feibhernágh only now had the opportunity to try her hand at magic spells. She was enrolled into an Academy in Crag Oscionn to learn the Magical Arts, and found a natural affinity to spells that helped, rather than hurt. Feibhernágh was a smart student, though holds a delinquency record of detentions, issued for multiple incidents of casting Fumble on classmates she didn't get on with and causing disruptions in class.

The Gallóglach Sponsorship

After graduating from the Academy with a good few spells of her liking under her belt, Feibhernágh had time and time again expressed interest in putting her training to good use to serve the Réig. The most obvious way to achieve this was to join the Gallóglaigh, of course. While her family approved of this direction, they had not much say in the overall clan's decision. They were to travel back to Siabhal and have Feibhernágh request permission from the clan elders in person.

During the Autumn season that year, the family reunited with the rest of the clan at a ball, where Feibhernágh wore fancy dress for the first time in what felt like 100 years (and probably actually was 100 years at that point) and did her best to appeal to the elders there to allow her to join the Gallóglaigh. The elders told her that night they would discuss outside the party, and within a week, she received a letter confirming her permission, overseen by a great aunt in a higher sect of the clan. Ecstatic, Feibhernágh packed her things and readied herself to join the Gallóglaigh.

The Path of Many Candles

Somewhere along the way between leaving her family behind in Draíod and joining her first mission as a Gallóglach in the Season of Renewal, Feibhernágh mysteriously took The Path of Many Candles, a Leasiar ritual that wipes away their memory of their old life, to begin a new one. Though this news hasn't traveled back to the O'Broins (or anyone for that matter), Feighernágh, now renamed Fiven, still carries her skills and her determination to serve well in the Gallóglaigh, and to be personally recognized by the Réig.
