Malartu
Malartu is a combat healer and member of the Torchbearer Order partnered with Scala of House Tintreach, originally a wanderer but later a member of the crew of Captain Vangar. He is a Hook Branded Vartach, and very aware of what people assume due to that.
Typically identifiable by his spear, purple robe, and distinctive pointed hat, he spends most of his time near the gates as one of the few in the band capable of magically detecting our foes.
During the Season of Uncertainty, he fought alongside the future Reig Tiernan Mac Aonhgusa in putting down the traitor Rider Marie the Brute. He often wears a small bundle of heather on his breast to remember The Battle of Scarlet Heather. He also helped protect Baol from the imposter Gwyllt.
During his time with the band, he has served as a judge in three judgements. One of these ended in a public execution.
Has served as a Bailiff in the band since the Season of Uncertainty
Served as Watchmaster from the Season of Graves until stepping down during the Season of Scrutiny
