House Gentle Showers
Máirtín is the 3rd child of the heads of House Gentle Showers, a Drakeblooded House from the swamps of Uasa, descendants of the Distant Patter of Gentle Showers.
House Gentle Showers is notable among the Houses for not being notable for anything. For as long as the Réig has ruled these lands, House Gentle Showers has been humble and content with little acclaim, lowest in esteem among the Houses. They are content to administer over their moderate holdings and sit at the bottom rung of the Drakeblooded Houses. Locally they are known for their healing, protection magics and rituals, tending to the needs of the local area. At one time Gentle Showers lived in a grand castle in western Uasa, but now it sinks lower and lower into the muds of the swamps with the family living in just the single lopsided tower that now remains above the surface.
"The rain washes all things away in their time, even us" they are prone to saying.
Máirtín is considered the problem child of the House as he does not accept eternal mediocrity. He is determined to make Gentle Showers a name of awe across the realms.
Cumhacht na Réig
Máirtín joined Cumhacht na Réig during the Season of Smiling, seeking to raise the stock of his family through great deeds with this great band of warriors.
During the Season of Graves, Máirtín was appointed Acting Wizard At Arms for the Friday night, but later declared his support of Alelia for the role.
